Default Two A.T. Hikers displaying their art in Harpers Ferry April 26-27

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy Visitor Center will host two A.T. hikers during the third annual Bolivar-Harpers Ferry Community Art Walk on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. You'll be able to view wildlife and bird photography by ATC volunteer Terri "Dirigo" McLellan and mixed media pieces by 2013 Appalachian Trail thru-hiker Danielle "Gypsy" Klebes. Some of you might have seen Danielle's sketches that were featured in the most recent March/April issue of A.T. Journeys.

More than 20 businesses and artists will be displaying artwork from Bolivar to the Lower Town in Harpers Ferry. Harpers Ferry is really beautiful right now with spring in full swing in town and the mountainsides just starting to green up.

I know Terri and Danielle will be arriving Saturday morning but I'm not sure if they will be there both days.

This event is sponsored in part by The Corporation of Harpers Ferry.

The NPS site has several maps featuring different hiking trails in the park, too. There are 28 miles of trail in the park, and only 3 are the A.T.

Danielle "Gypsy" Klebes (GA-ME 2013) and her boyfriend Dalton "Hancock" James (GA-ME 2013) and ATC Volunteer Terri "Dirigo" McLellan of Wilderness Escapades are here today and tomorrow.

Here are photos of Terri and a photo she took of bears in Shenandoah.

And here's Danielle by one of her paintings. Her boyfriend, "Hancock" is in the background, in the archway to the hiker lounge.
