    Default NCT section hike

I am looking into doing a section hike on the NCT starting on May 12th starting in Mackinaw City and ending in Boyne Highlands and I was wondering if anyone can give me any in sight to what this section of trail is like? I am waiting for my maps to arrive but I'm looking for info on river crossing if any off trail road hiking which I think there is but not sure and water access any other advise you can give would be great. This is my first section hike and my longest hike. Thank you in advance for any info given...

I've hiked part of that area several years ago. I would suggest two other sites for better information; Great Lakes Hikes at
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...akeshikes/info you would have to join to ask questions,

    and northcountrytrail.org

Also planning a section hike south from the Bridge on the 12th, to kalkaska. No rivers to cross, but water may be a problem from Wycamp Lake to just past Pleasant View,15-18 miles I am told. Snow is still on ground should be gone by the 12th.
