Default Why: The most powerful Question in the World.

    J. Gault - Male, 41, FL

Start date: Early March 2006 (Not sure of day, probably 15/16th-ish)

    # in party: Me

Miles/day: Will start slow for the first month (prevent injury). I plan to significantly increase mileage through Virginia, then will see...

Off day: 1-2 weeks (spread out)

    ETA Katahdin: 5-6 mos.

Reason: I just retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 yrs, with less than 1 year of cumulative leave (vacation time) and WELL over 1 year deployed to various parts of the world. I need the time away from EVERYTHING to re-calibrate myself.
I am also an avid cyclist and plan to cycle across the U.S., sometime after 2006 GA>ME. After that I will (maybe) figure out what to do.

Hi! My name is Sue - still working on the trail name...

I'll be 47 when I start NOBO in early April; I live outside ATL, and have done most of the GA AT, so I'll fill in the gaps this winter and start out from wherever that may lead me. I've already done the approach trail twice - not again!

    # in party: 1
Miles/Day: 6-10 for starters, probably 15+ when ready
Off day: any time I need it
    ETA Katahdin: 6 mos.
Reason: Selling my practice (chiropractor) and condo, and will be moving west to buy a new one sometime after this long-held dream!

    Steffan - 34 male ~ Burbank, CA
