    Default Uintas Highline trail?

Didn't find much talk of this trail in the search. I ordered the national geographic map. I'm interested in hearing comments, reports on whatever portions you've hiked. I think I'd hike it east to west ending at mirror lake, hwy150, but not sure where I want to start yet. Thinking about doing this early/ mid September. Would that date be cutting it close with the chance of snowstorms, similar to the colorado trail? All the reports /journals I've read people are thru hiking the Unitas in august.

Similar weather to the CO rockies at that time. Could be beautiful or early winter..more so the closer you are to mid-Sept. At least according to this website: http://www.summitpost.org/high-uintas-wilderness/170976

Garlic, myself and my buddy Mark hiked the UHT last year. Garlic finished the whole thing. My buddy Mark had a nasty shin splint so I hiked out with him at mile 55 + 15 miles on a side side trail (70). The whole trail from start to finish is just under 100 miles.

    My trip report is here:

Lots of details on logistics, maps and so on.

Post updates after your trip please. I need to knock out King's Peak so might as well do this trail while I am in the neighborhood.

The only thing better than mountains, is mountains where you haven't been.

You just might see some wolves in the Uintas these days.
