Default Lodging near Mohawk Trail/Housatonic River Bridge/Sobo milepost 700?

The Connecticut charts in both the 2013 and new THC show the services "E-0.2m L, M" 698.8 miles Katahdin. For those who don't use the THC, that means there's lodging and meals .2 miles east of the trail near the Housatonic River Bridge/U.S. 7/the northern end of the Mohawk Trail. The text following the chart makes no mention of any meals or lodging that close to the trail. What gives? I'd expect the 2014 edition to correct the entry if it was a mistake. Is this the one of a kind bunk and dine?

Just looking at an older (2006) data book and their entry for Mohawk Trail also shows that (L, M 0.2m E) Mileage matches up at about 700 from Katahdin.

I don't know about that area specifically enough to know what might be there, but with U.S. 7 being a main road and being fairly near a town (Falls Village), it wouldn't be surprising to have an eating or lodging place there.
A quick search shows a Falls Village Inn and a Horse Tale Farm B&B, one on Railroad St & one on Rt 7 - I guess both could fulfill the listing (at least some food and some lodging)?

Hey, thanks for bringing it up.

Too bad you didn't point this out before we went to press for the 2014 Companion. I'm personally can't recall that crossing but will contact the field editor in that section for clarification. Once it's determined what the correct information is, we'll add it to the "updates page" as well as making a correction in the PDF.

Bearded Woods, "one of a kind, bunk n dine" is several miles off trail in Sharon, CT. You need to text or call.

There are many places in that area. All very expensive during hiking season because of Tanglewood. A classical Music venue. Better off Dalton and the Berkshire AMC has the Goose pond Cabin. All ya can eat pancakes. Its a couple bucks donation cup.
