    How many stories have we heard of people being found dead in their tent.

    True, I don't know the exact cause, but if one were to research it I'd think heart attack as cause of death would be up there.

    Yes, I agree with you PF. We've had a few AT hikers pass away from a heart attack in my area within the last couple of years.

    I'm just amazed when I think of how the heart must beat without ever, ever stopping. On one level I find comfort in the fact that my resting HR is in the mid-40's, but then I think of how often I have it elevated, since I use my legs as my primary form of transportation. Maybe I should start driving more...Nah, I hate it too much...Sorry about that Mr. Heart

    Heart attacks are also probably the #1 killer of motorcycle riders.

    People in the Granite State understand that, and as a consequence many elect not to wear a helmet.
