So how many people carry the can (BV500 or equal) on the AT? I have a BV500 that i used in Alaska and also have Ursack S29. Each have advantages. I'm still on the fence on which to bring on the AT.

There is UPS drop box in the Atlanta airport. I use Osprey Airporter and carry a UPS shipping box. When you get there put the Airporter/ Duffel in the box and send it home.

you can make one for about $10.00 rune with 4 to 5 cells so you can carry extra batteries. Would not use it regularly but if needed. If interested i can post pics

I see that more places on the AT are recommending bear cans. I used them before and they were not bad. Any thoughts on the AT?
