Different packs for different situations/seasons/environments:

Zimmerbuilt custom, 45L, 31oz.
ZPacks Blast 30, w/options, 16oz.
Lowe Alpine Nanon 35/40, 38oz.
Marmot Kompressor Summit, 28L,...

The compactor bags are a little nicer fit for my packs (35-45L)...but...the contractor bags work fine as well.

On my Blast 30, the upper-side compression straps have a lashing loop towards the backside. I think if you looped from here to after the buckle the compression action...

My excuse...I'll be 45 in Sept.

My reality, I'm a side sleeper and like to be comfortable.

We've had good luck with NB 573 trail runners for my 6yo (currently sz 3)...his feet grow before they wear out...so zero issues so far.

Use the side pockets with the bottle angles forward out of the secondary cut-out.
