Thank you !!!
Is there a place where you can plug in a starting location and ending location and see the elevation gain and loss between the two?
Is there a detour route that is marked for hikers?
That is great news!
Glad you are back out there! I just finished the Georgia Loop.Very challenging hike. Always good to be back in the back country!
She had a air BNB then.It was called Abbotabode.
When I thru hiked in 2018 she shuttled me.Her phone # then was 802-738-5445.Hope this helps.
I was 60 when I started from Springer in 2018.I started on February 15.Stayed ahead of the bubble the entire way.
Pee bottle.
Hope you have a great trip !
Looks good. That tent was my home away from home for two thousand miles on my A.T. thru hike in 2018.
Check out the recharge pump bag from Paria. The valves on their pads look the same as the thermarest. The fitting on the recharge bag connects perfectly. It works great.
Okay.I did not know that from how your first post read.Looks like the best bet is FS 64.
Amicalola is a safe place to leave one car.The parking area on FS 42 on Springer Mountain is where a lot of people leave their vehicles.
Call Ron Brown. He can shuttle you to close to the start.I started at Amicalola when I did my sobo thru hike of the Pinhoti.Happy trails !
Thank you Sir !
Planning a nobo thru hike this spring and need to know where a reasonably safe place is to leave my vehicle. Thanks!
The A.T. goes right by the sign you are talking about.
Hiker Hunger makes some really good poles at a great price.I used them on my thru hikes of the A.T. and the Pinhoti trail.
My son was bitten by a dog also and had to come off the trail.
There were a few really nice ones at Trail Days year before last when I was there. You maybe could chase that supply trail.
Any time.Happy trails!
Ron Brown 706-669-0919.He is a shuttle driver.Great guy and has great knowledge of the trail and any info you may need.Highly recommended !
When I went thru there on my thru hike in 2018 I did not go there or need a resupply. It just takes good planning.
That is great news ! Thanks !
