This is what I think of when i think of an unsupported hike.

But, what about shuttles from a hostel that are included in the stay....such
as rides to the grocery store or a ride back...

so how about it Lone Wolf, are you willing to give some advise..??

Yes there will be a way to follow me, just not sure what that will be. Throwing around some idea's. Maybe use a smart phone or some kind of spot. Any ideas would be helpful.
