I try to keep things under 30lbs. I find anything over that and you notice issues.
Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 I say. It's worth having the extra room. Never again will I buy a 1 person tent.
They are good in conjunction with stuff you already have. Bit pricey.
1st section of the AT isn't all that bad.

I'd say save your money and go with the Duplex, plenty of room.
Def a couple of the bigger smart water bottles, they are made well and are pretty durable.
