hi..northeast Florida here as well...in Fleming Island... hike the Florida Trail and state parks regularly...also a section hiker on the AT...hike a section of the AT every 3 months or so...working...

doing a section from Damascus to Atkins starting April 22nd

was planning to hike a section in VA to include the Grayson Highlands... probably 5-7 days or so...any recommendations?

planning on hiking near hot springs.. like the fact that its very close to the trail. still looking at the maps though..heading up that way the day after Christmas.

hiked last year the week after Christmas around Erwin TN. Cold but great hiking.

sounds like a good trip...still need to do that section but have family plans that week...im also in Florida just south of Jax...keep me in mind if youre looking for someone to hike with next trip

I need to finish some sections in NC/TN around the Erwin area and North.. but Im pretty open..I just need to plan in advance..I'm live just outside of Jacksonville.

northeast Florida (clay county)....i hike parts of the Florida Trail quite often....mostly in and around Ocala.. also west of I-75 and along the Suwanee River..

I try to hike a section every quarter or so...would like to find others in my area that may be interested in planning a section hike. Most of my buddies arent into hiking and my wife doesnt want me...

how about the weekend of the April 10/11/12..probably leave our cars at the NOC then take a shuttle to Fontana. I parked at the NOC last year and had no problems at all..
