Probably squirrels in the trees eating pine cones and dropping the cores. We live in an RV and reside at the park I work at. The squirrels drop them all day on our roof and its loud.
All I wear are Exxoficios and i have never had a problem.
Personally I prefer the option of alternative routes and am not concerned about a certificate. We live everyday life constrained by schedules and time that do not change much in a normal work week....
I will be starting late January early February.
We used ankle high nylons for road marches in the military. Used to do 24 miles with 60-80 lbs of gear and never had a blister.
