I am going to do my shopping in Milinocket. Two nights at Katahdin cabins on 14-15th! Less than a month away, getting excited!
Looks good! When are you starting?
@divegary, I will be heading out the 17th hope to see you out there!
@wicked dan, good luck getting over here, hope to see you on trail!
Guess I am glad to be heading out from KSC on July 17th!
I am 6'1" and measure 18" have a medium Gossamer Gear Mariposa and ULA CDT both medium, both fit very well. For what it's worth.
I have only had a chance to use mine a few times and it has been great! Very quality piece and I was perfectly comfortable in the high 40s low 50s.
I can see the look on the Rangers face when I try to justify it! Thanks for the laugh!
Beautiful husky! Huskies should be full grown by about 7 months old, it's their full coat that can take up to 2 years to fully develop. I would wait for the pack for just a bit longer, he should be...
I love my Dirty Girls! I wear Low cut minimum shoes, without gaiters they fill up constantly.
Tickets booked, Chicago food fest July 10-13, millinocket 15th, head up katahdin 16th. Hope to see everyone out there!
Carried a mini weber BBQ with charcoal and a couple pounds of chicken for an overnight. BBQ worked great as a fire pit after the food! There is almost always a good summit brew in the pack as well :)
I have used a "tick key" I bought for my dog at the pet store. Works every time so far on him and once on me.
So far I am loving my Altra Superior's and Lone Peak 1.5. Nice wide toe box and zero drop.
I use them for less mile trail runs. I found I am more comfortable in the trail run ascend glove, still a 0 drop, but with my pack on long rocky days, my feet thank me. I have been using minimum...
X2, great knife!
I love my dirty girls, they work great!
I have not had any issues with moisture getting through my CDT, but everything is already in waterproof sacks. I was thinking the cuben pack would let me use my umbrella more and not have to worry...
Not sure about the prolite, I use the SOlite 3/4 pa in my CDT and it works great! Even fits a bear can when needed. I have not used it with the back pad that came with the pack, but that should keep...
I used the bearvault BV500 on my JMT hike and it fits vertical in my ULA CDT pack perfectly with all my gear. It was overkill really, I could have used a smaller container easily. The bearikade looks...
Finishing a Thru takes a lot already! If you still feel good and have the desire, go for the yo-yo!
I don't see why a late july start would be bad for trying to break the record. At the speed he should be going that seems like a great time to start. Of course I live off the PCT in So. California,...
Ah, I see it was posted in humor after I went back. LOL, I was thinking, is this serious!
As far as I know, the more pictures you take on your digital will not add any weight to the camera. Or am I missing something in your question?
I do not have any problems with my feet, but I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel. Solomon was recommended to me at REI and I have very good luck with them. I have switched to merrell minimum shoes...
