Is the day hike to Blood mountain shelter still open?
Does anyone know of the water situation here?
Thanks. The wildfire in North Ga/Southern NC ruined our Bartram trail hike for this weekend. Was looking for a good Fri morning to Sunday at lunch hike. Suggestions?
Can anyone tell me the mileage from Springer to Hawk?
So phone chargers. Go with a folding Solar panel style, or more along the lines of an Anker type charge carrier? I love to take my pics and got a couple of multi day hikes coming up.
Awesome! Thanks everyone.
My group just completed the approach trail Sunday (9/19). Upon registering at the visitor center, we were told there was no water up on the trail.... .6 miles before Black gap heading north there is...
Thanks y'all. Good thing is the trail we are doing, We have been there before. It is well marked. Thanks for the input.
So got a night hike of around 3 miles coming up in November. Will be in the Sky valley area of NC. What would be your biggest concerns?
The family and I did the Day hike up to Rabun Bald. Very much worth the 2.8 miles. Unbelievable views. Now I noticed the War woman Dell sign pointing 15 miles. Anyone done this section? Is it do-able...
Anyone hiked the Bartram trail? It's only a 36 mile walk from NC to GA. We do a lot of camping along the southern leg of the trail. Gonna do the hike in November.sobo.
Ok. I will look into that.Thanks.
We have 7 days. Gonna be about this time next year. Would like to try and make Am falls state park. Our plan B would be Unicoi.
Thanks a bunch everyone. Let me break the maps back out and check out these places.
Hey guys, I am planning on doing the Ga leg of the AT. I want to start in NC and hike down. Having a hard time finding somewhere near the state line to be dropped off. Help!
