Loosen everything first. Then hip belt > shoulder straps > load lifters > sternum strap.

Has anyone used one of them? I'm a little concerned about the 1200mm waterproofing and if that might be a problem on an AT thru-hike. Anyone have experience with one?

Good choice with the ZS series. I have the ZS3 and love it.

I like the elevation and style of the AT Guide. The Companion has more details about shelters and road crossings though. Haven't made up my mind yet.

Planning a few overnighters while I'm still in NC and then probably doing the NJ section when I move into my parents house for the 3-4 weeks before I start my thru.

I bought a Nanopuff about a week ago for my March thru and I'm happy with it so far.

I don't have a date set in stone yet but it's likely going to be March 23.
