I use the Sawyer bags, but prefer to sip on the move so I added a hose and bite valve. Combine with a smartwater bottle and it provides a bunch of options.

I've not looked into Guthooks too deeply...once I saw the total price I decided I didn't need it that bad...but it seems to me the Hikerbot app does a lot of the same things for free.

I registered with the ATC and they sent me a little plastic ATC symbol with the LNT principles on the back. It said the trail is 2190.3 miles. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The PDF is <15mb. It took 2 seconds to download over a 2bar LTE connection. If you have a poor cell connection it might be "risky", but anything decent will have no problems.

I like my CMTs. Saved me several times. Replacement sections are like $10 from their website if you do manage to break something.
Roaring plains wilderness and Dolly Sods. Beautiful, mostly unmarked trails. A GPS with waypoints isn't a bad idea.
