Thanks Venchka. I have a Circuit I use on the AT. Love it! Was just gonna spread the cottage love around a little. Thanks for the input.
I am planning a Norway excursion next summer and in the market for a day pack. Any thoughts on the Zpacks Nero or Co-Consiprator? Or Photon by ULA? Open to other suggestions as well but was starting...
Thank you for the tip. Bullet dodged.
Yeah, I was surprised by the low cost as well. I threw in a little extra and hopefully others do as well. Shes a little bit older and this is not her primary...
I just hiked this section a couple weeks ago. Left my truck at Davenport Gap under the Pigeon River Bridge and was shuttled to Stecoah Gap. I used Stripper (class of 2018). Her cell is 317-417-5351....
Joyce and Sally are fantastic. Their number is listed on the "Shuttle Providers" on the main page of White Blaze.
Just wanted to give a quick thanks to this site and everyone who lurks, contributes, posts, asks questions, etc. I've lurked for a long time gathering bits and pieces of information and knowledge....
I used Sally and Joyce (706-896-9339) last week for my first section from Amicalola to Dicks Creek. They are listed on WhiteBlaze under the shuttle providers link. The great thing about them is you...
Thanks to everyone for the input. As always.....a great group with great suggestions/recommendations.
This should not be that difficult, but i'm struggling to find some running shorts to take on an upcoming section hike. I figured I would head to Amazon and have something on the way in no time!...
I use aquaclips with the Circuit and it works great. I can retrieve the water bottle with one hand but then have to tuck my trekking poles under neath my arm to put it back. I just use the existing...

Well.....as promised! I guess everyone has to start somewhere but this will at least give some highlights of the AHT. Longer than I wanted it to be! I'll get more concise though. Knobstone starts...
I do have a channel....just no videos....and besides mom....no followers:). The AHT hike was my inaugural attempt at filming. Certainly no Speilberg...but i'll get better. I tried out editing today...
Yep....thats it! Rugged is probably a bit of an overstatement I'd say but some challenging parts. Overnighter for you guys it sounds. I took some video this past Saturday of my hike. I had my gps...
Thanks Pringles for the recommendation. Overnight or longer trails are pretty limited around here, so I am always looking for new spots!
There a few other threads that may have some general information regarding the trail, but I think most are kinda old and do not have current conditions. I hope to do at least some of the trail, if...
Purchased a pair that has since been removed. Items were in perfect condition and arrived quickly after payment was sent. Thanks hwy395!
I also think there would be a market for such a thing. With more vloggers and movies about hiking....its become more of a mainstream thing and with that comes more people that are looking for help on...
Nothing new but I also use home made Fancy Feast when I cook. I cold soak most of the time.
Is this the Lotus ramen referred to I assume? How does the price compare to Costco?

Great trip report. Thanks for sharing.
Really interesting data Jeremy! Thank you for sharing. I'm sure that took a lot of time.
I'd either move in with parents and rent it out or take on a roommate for the next year. A roommate makes the most sense to me because they could look after things while you are gone. I can't speak...
