Look into shirts made for fishing as they are often made of nylon. I use some cheap ones I got at Academy for hiking all the time.

This young man just completed a hike around the entire coast of New Zealand. Pretty inspiring stuff. http://www.wildboyadventures.com/ https://www.facebook.com/wildboyadventures
I have the Nemo Cosmo Insulated pad in a large. I am not an ultra-lighter either, but I think this pad is worth every freakin' ounce! I have used this pad on nights that have reached down into the...

Yep. I think some one is having a bit of fun with the forum. Awesome, lol.
We are getting ready for our camping trip on Isle au Haut! I love it there!

Have you ever considered hiking the Colorado Trail? Or part of it? Goes from Denver to Durango and is just about 500 miles. Might be a good way to see if thru-hiking is something you would enjoy...
My wife has more hiking boots than I do! :)

You might consider driving out to the Big Thicket. We used to hike out there. Not a bad drive from Houston. http://www.nps.gov/bith/planyourvisit/things2do.htm

Camping off of Holmes Bay in Cutler, ME the weekend after this past Thanksgiving. It's an old Eureka Alpine Meadows tent. Heavy, but solid and roomy.
We just snapped one of these up! :banana
