If they are lightweight boots like Solomon mids GTX then I love them going through snow and slush. We are starting around the same time and I picked up a pair of the lightweight La Sportiva mids. ...
Im taking a vitamin green powder and some protein powder along with a small amount of turmeric and other seasonings to add to my meals. Adds some weight but it has definitely been worth its weight...
Ill just comment on pack size. To put things into perspective, I carry a 26L pack and I have everything I need.
I got an offbrand down 600fil jacket for about 60$
I saw them at a Khols store here in Georgia for about the same. I cant see paying so much for a down jacket as with outdoor companies want to...
In cold weather I hike in a long sleeve underarmor shirt and a sythetic down Mammot vest but I also carry a down jacket for camp. I wear a beanie and neck gaiter as needed. If its really cold I...
Same here. I should be somewhere in PA.
lol You need to get out more mate. ;)

Those few ounces add up to a few pounds. 11 lbs base for winter is the way to go.
+1 Bang on brother.
It looks like your most economical change would be changing the jetboil if weight savings are important. Amazon has a nice BRS can stove, 25grams for ~15 US
I do agree with some here that a bulk in both fat and muscle may help with initial shock on trail nutrition. (He must maintain cardio while doing so) On the note of town food to close a gap on a...
I believe the OP is actually referring to a medical condition in regards to a body fat deficit.
Im also considering taking some fleece pants. Fleece is bulky but Im so comfy at camp in the cold.
All of this looks good to me but being a guy, I sleep warmer. If its super cold though you can put the rain jacket on over your puffy. A neck gaiter or the balaclava should help. I have a smart...
I asked you politely and respectfully to be respectful to others here. Nothing wrong with doing so in public eye. You have already caught some attention on here from others in regard to your...
