They have a full series of Road shoes if that's what you mean.
The Torin and Olympus are...
I'd generally agree- for the most part REI housebrand isn't cutting edge cottage stuff perhaps- but is pretty solid gear.
A thing or two not often considered:
If you buy something over $200-...
If you want a mummy over a quilt (which I prefer around 20* as well)... it's a very high quality bag.
Though I got the Magma 10... now the Magma 15 this season? And got a price increase as well...
Well... truth be told I need to unload these asap. Guthook is releasing an app for L.O.T with page numbers and a bare bones summary of the critical information along the way. So no need to even own...
And a very Walter review it is...
Oddly the Mags quote you took some issue with is a sentiment you agree with and oft express.

Sounds like its holding up much better than my signed slice of cheesecake!
Just a heads up for all those looking for cheaper lies:
Due to the impending Mueller report release, all those who have lied on the trail are seeking immediate cash for legal defense funds.
So...
You forgot to get your former governor elected to VP?
From a visitors perspective... I agree with your assessment of Michigan's parks and general shoreline being much better.
As a backpacker......
Another year I'll have to pass...
Though I was very touched by Hiker Boy sending a personalized invite to me (and his 300 other friends)... but still I did personally get it and that was mighty...
I like the way you think...
Though wouldn't you need the Katadyn be free style? Or are you cracking open the sawyer so it's exposed?
Assuming I'm thinking the way you are here... I'm picturing...

I personally went from 'do not buy' to 'don't care' regarding the 850 fill.
I have no issue with the 850 zero PFC DownTec... not so sure about the other flavors and if they have improved but at...
They remain treatment free- http://www.westernmountaineering.com/about/
Water Repellent DownIn recent years technology has emerged for treating down to make it more water resistant than it already...
FWIW... I do own a 950 FP treated down top of the line 7d shell Enlightened Enigma I've been sleeping in for several months now.
I'd spring for the 7d shell again in a heartbeat.
There is some...
To try to get this back on track:
On the down... There is not enough advantage in my opinion at this point to even entertain anything beyond 850 fills unless you're talking zero and below bags....
If it is an FKT (a record) then covering every inch is mandatory.
Otherwise you aught to simply do what you said you did.
At the end of the day unless you take along a third party witness... it's...
Depends on your style of writing... assuming you're writing to eventually share your work.
If not- do whatever you want.
Joey Camps blasted out many of his journals/trip reports with a phone...
He said no cats.
You might be surprised who you run into... from Lone Wolf onto members of parliament. Plenty of philosophers, engineers, chemists, and on out on the trail.
An atmospheric physicist runs the FKT...
A thought to ponder...
While many think of synthetic insulation as a down alternative... where it actually fits in more realistically for LD hiking is as a fleece alternative.
A primaloft piece...
At best... one might argue that humidity creep might be addressed by treated down.
I'd say I could go from didn't like it to 'can't hurt' at this point.
Otherwise I still don't see any reports...
Thanks... once the 'season' ends my brain shuts off. Didn't even know they had a podcast!
One further thought... if your project is critical... and you have the means/budget:
Why not enlist someone from your team?
That would mean your crew chief would not only assist with your hike,...
Good for you. I've met a few folks over the years who did something similar (sorta).
One of the more successful was an accountant who put in a long three day shift once per week. She was semi-self...
