The elevation on day 2 doesn't look to bad on paper but paper isn't the same as hiking.

I have yet to do a 20+ mile day so as a goal of mine I would really like to do that 21.4 on day 2. I plan on hiking all daylight hours if needed and I am going just after spring daylight savings.

I am looking for tips on caching food along the trail(areas where the trail come near/crosses the road)

I am planning on leaving a car at beagle gap and compton gap in SNP and was wondering if there was anything to be noted about the two parking lots and trail heads.

I am doing a week section hike and don't want to carry seven days of food all at once and don't want to come off the trail for more than 100 yards or so.

What would be the best way to leave a resupply along the trail. I have heard of people hanging 5 gallon buckets just like u would a bear bag.
