"They're super comfy to lounge in, but I don't know about comfort for all night sleeping in them. Also, I don't know how well they will hold their air over a whole night. I'd sure experiment a few...
waiting for a sunny day to set the tent up and see. Its been raining since I got it but that's deff a factor. It rolls up into a long, about 24in, tube that could fit along the side of a pack. I...
Hey guys. I just got a wekapo air lounger and am curious if anyone has used one on a multiday hike in place of a traditional air pad/sleeping pad. Will it stand up to the elements? Is the comfort...
What's their generation have to do with it? Anyone can be a jerk.
Most of the "damage" is probably done on ups and downs. Give me a flat trail with minimal roots and I can pull a 20 mile day no problem. I am a small person so steps are the biggest challenge for me....
Not being pretentious is a big one for me
I have heard a story of a guy who hiked his next section of trail 3 times each day because he would bring half his stuff to his next camping spot then go back for the rest. Maybe the same dude?
I'll have to walk up there again and check it out ;)
Okay so I made this story up while hiking in the Shanendoahs and have fleshed it out a little. Would be happy for it to become a creepy pasta for hikers!
Two hikers were making their way through...
They say a troll lives at the Cloud Pond lean to in the 100MW. It was unusually cold there and in the middle of the night, my hiking partner said he heard a voice call out to him.
Yeah and if you read all the articles one said that it took him 10 months to hike the AT. He may have made it from Maine to Georgia but he's no pro or super hiker...
Hello all. I live in a large ski lodge and am looking to start renting out bunks for the owner. We actually aren't new per say but trying to get more word out. Does anyone have the names of...
Are they funding the trip? All parents are going to be worried about their kid going alone but you're not really going to be alone. There's a lot of people on the trail that time of year and you will...
What size is it?
Got our famous view going here at the base. Snow across all the prezzies. Beautiful. 45776
Hoping to stay on track to do this thing! Its now or never I feel. We will see where life takes me over the next 6 months. I am almost certain it will take me to the trail head though.
Trail...
Made me lol !
My boss who wrote the book on climbing in the white mountains and has done a lot of hiking in his years gave me a 30% chance of success. Decent. No matter what I know I'm going to get a lot out of...
The article, I think, highlights the extreme end of the spectrum. I would say that her experience had less to do with being a woman and more to do with a naivety which left her open to and, in some...
We are planning to go NOBO so we can enjoy seeing all the other hikers finish the AT. I would say its a "save the best for last" kind of mentality but here we are doing the 100MW first! ;)
Drops are. $50 a pop plus the price of the food though. Considering WHL but haven't made any calls yet.
I am setting out for the 100 Mile Wilderness on the 24th and am looking for any helpful advice. I'm getting the hang of my equipment and training whenever possible with long-ish day hikes. My partner...

So I ended up going up the South Arm and hiking across the ridges, over Meader and down to Rim Junction to spend the night at Blue Brook. Was going to head to Perkins after but opted to go down to...
