i just finished my A.T. thru and used a hammock with a z-fold and a 15 degree down bag the whole way. was never cold nor wet (except the couple times i was hung up on top of a mountain where the...

even better, i came up with an app for all those "smart" products, ie; phones, pads... when you engage the app, a toilet (of your color choice) appears on the screen. simply undo your pants, squat...

the gold edition actually comes with one of bear grylls' fingers (and a locke of his hair...but thats just weird).

warm in the valleys. cold on top

use a pad with your hammock. you will stay warm in the hammock and you can go to ground when needed/wanted.

just say your doing lots of sit-ups. that's all "core"

i only use tarps that are made out of smartwool. they go great with my mountain house hammock with horse-hair whoopie slings. only the best for me.
