yes that could cause problems....is this pad a good pad to do the entire hike with or will it get too warm?

I think I am going to buy a pair of XTherm pads for my girlfriend and myself for our NOBO thru hike next year. I think it would be nice to get the MAX version so that they both have straight edges...
