When were you there? Sat or Sun.
I was there on Sat ....... and it was beautiful. Saw a Bull Moose when I arrived there at 1pm.

Just spent 4 nights at the AT Lodge. It was clean and nice and the owners were real hospitable. I would recommend a stay or connecting up for a shuttle if you are in the area.

Enjoy! I finished up NJ a couple of weekends ago .... Let me know when you are doing sections in PA. Unfortunately I am pretty much locked into weekend hikes for now. I am hoping to do some sections...

Keep me posted with dates and details ........... I like your idea alot and have only done a 50 mi. section in Tennessee in the south. I have been concentrating on states closer to me in PA ...........

A great weekend ! I hooked up with Tinker and his son and then River1 shuttled us Sat am and then hiked in to meet us and do our last 5 mi back to the car on Sun. Nice scenic views in these sections...

I am looking to do NJ sections on weekends if anyone is interested .... just PM me. I have completed DWG to Blue Mountain Road so far.

We had finished up by Fri, July 31st and I only remember 1 guy who was by himself who we saw Wed. the 29th and I think that guy got off the trail because of the rain so I am sure it was not him. All...

I just did Denis Cove to Damascus the last week in July and I am wondering where on that part of the trail the person got hurt.

Thanks for the info FredMugs! I am hiking from Dennis Cove to Damascus next week and will keep an eye out for them.:cool:

I would probably be up for a day hike that way on 2/21 preferably. Any thought on going a little more north - like Blairstown road (NJ sect. 5) ? Juma, DAKS and I were up there at the end of Jan....

I can't do it on the 1st but I am looking to do some of the trail in N.J. in either section 4 or 5 in day hikes Sat/Sun. Jan. 3/4th if you are interested.

Jim was a great guy .... loved the trail, especially relaxing at the shelters after a long week around a campfire. His favorite is the Allentown Shelter. Since he missed our planned trip a few weeks...
