from the AT to Gatlinburg a pretty nice trip is south on boulevard trail to LeConte. then west generally on bullhead trail and old sugarlands trail to road to Gatlinburg...

section hiking you would do your permits through recreation.gov anyway. if I'm doing any thing next year it's only 60 miles.

we had a person drop.out
11/8-11-12, 4 nights we head up from big creek and circle around to cataloochee then back. yes some body who likes up hills is preferred. go at your own pace or hang back...

Decided bishop to Whitney this trip. Easy permit. I'll get Yosemite from the south next year
Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
I'll check with them thanks. I can get from L A to lone pine and back from bishop no problem so all I wanted was a shuttle up to cottonwood
Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
Looked at that bit to get to trailhead from lone pine would be a hitch probably as I don't have plan to get a car. I thought a shuttle might work but it's gotta be reserved and it's a tad pricey

I'm in the Yosemite lottery and am denied every day on the 21 day rolling lottery anyone planning a Muir trail hike south want to add each other on permits.or I would do other sections south of...
I'd actually hike to 37 then do cammerer as a day hike and return to 37 then up to 38 via swallow fork and last day down to parking lot. Much less stressful on the legs. 38 will be below 20 overnight...

Not too many. a few more around the BFG to Charlie's bunion section.
Then over by cammerer possibly. Local hikers mostly. Should be no problem though
