Why do you have so many pairs of hiking pants?
Bought the spray bottle at Walmart, I think it was sawyer.
The directions on the permethrin package I bought said not to use it on headwear.
This item is sold.
It is still available. You can email me at [email protected].
I’ve hiked that area in the fall. Beautiful time of the year with cool nights and warm comfortable days. O water problems at all when I’ve done it although if it’s a dry summer the streams can get...
The Warbonnet hammock I’ve listed in the “for sale” section is the most comfortable hammock.
Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind, it is a 20°. Right now I’m going to try to keep it together so that if it doesn’t sell I’ll still have a good complete set-up.
I have a solplex, I fold it because that’s what they did in the how to video on the zpacks site. Good point above about not folding it the same way each time.
FOR SALE:
Warbonnet Blackbird double layer w/ webbing-buckle suspension
Yeti under quilt
Mamajamba tarp with guylines
Stuff sacks included
BRAND NEW CONDITION Used approximately 20 nights/...
I don’t whittle but I like Mora knives.
Plenty of campsites just below the summit. I’ve never seen any water there, I’ll ha e to look where generoll said.
I forget if it’s left or right of winding stair but just a few minutes in one direction or the other are rock cliffs on either side of the road where they do rock climbing. In the winter they’re very...
The parking lot just down the hill from Neel Gap is about a 5 minute walk back to Neel Gap. Don’t confuse it with Vogel State Park which is much further.
Good points, thanks. I’ll keep working on it, I think this makes 26. I have good Warbonnet gear to sell.
Freezer bags. I. Not “doing dishes” in the woods.
I e used very expired oatmeal and freeze dried meals with no problem. Some of the freeze dried meals had been portioned out into freezer bags for years. I can’t waste food.
I only eat out of a freezer bag so my pot never needs to be washed. I do get a little sloppy when filtering water and my clean bottle gets “dirty” occasionally but so far no problems.
When I slept in the shelters I didn’t use a pad. Pretty uncomfortable.
I like the dbl. layer to have the option of a pad and the extra thickness of material between my butt and the mosquitoes.
Have to have minimum of 30 posts before you can post in the for sale section. I’m working on it now, at 19 I think.
Warbonnet has been great for me. Brandon was a huge help.
I saw no problem with using a hammock around any of the shelters I was at except they weren’t always full.
Everyone thinks they have the best hammock, that’s why I recommend Warbonnet. I love mine.
