I have an MSR hyperflow that I have had for a few years. Works well for me as long as I backflush every 6 liters or so. "Learned that the hard way" I see alot of people are using Sawyer filters now....

I agree, variety. You may plan on eating a lot of cliff bars, or gorp etc. But after a couple weeks that gets boring and almost repulsive. I did that once and now can't hardly look at a cliff bar....
