tried IE, Chrome and Firefox, embed code, normal share code.....not sure what else to try; am I missing something obvious?
I am not sure what is causing the problem in the reply message box when trying to insert a video. However here is a work around for this problem for the time being.
1. Go to the bottom corner of the message box and click on GO ADVANCED
Attachment 32386
2. Click on the filmstrip icon in the top, above the message box
Attachment 32387
3. Insert the You Tune url in the box and click OK
Attachment 32388
The You Tube video should not be inserted. To verify this, click on the PREVIEW POST in the bottom right under the message box.
I have this problem frequently. I even have it with stills. It can often take several tries. After I click upload, it can take a really long time before something happens, or until nothing happens, letting me know to try again.
Sometimes, I see the code truncated, often without the "[/VIDEO]" appearing at the end, or where it will only show "[/VIDEO" without the final "]" after "[/VIDEO," despite using the loader icon and following the correct procedures. Sometimes, I see only a "~" where the video or photo was supposed to load, so I delete that and try again.
My fixes are just to try again and again until it works. I often have to reload the page, or go to other threads and then come back to the one where I want to load the pictures or video.

OK, I learned from Tipi Walter that you have to use the address bar URL and not the share/embed URL. This combined with attroll's "Go Advanced" advise seems to work!
