A day in the life of a thru hiker: Wake up from your cozy down sleeping bag to the sun shining through the walls of your nylon tent. Wipe the crust out of your eyes after waking from your slumber to the sounds of the wild. Time to put your clothes, shoes, other pair of socks and hat on, take a pee and or poo next to a nice fluffy bush. Now to have breakfast of a bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and a bar in the pocket for on the go later. Pack up your gear, and start walking. Now time for a break on a rock next to a cold creek, maybe refill your water, eat some more food and start walking again. In between have nice conversation with yourself OR your hiking partner and video record moments of excitement or interest of the trail. Now it's the early evening, say 6:00. Time for dinner and to pull out home for the night again (the tent) and have some ramen or mac n cheese with salami and a nice chocolatey treat for dessert. Sit on a rock and enjoy the wilderness around you. Maybe read that book you've been lugging along for miles and then journal about your feelings and your day. Go to sleep in you nice warm cozy bag and do it all over again the next day ahhhh
