I’ve found myself a relatively comfortable log to sit on, and I am basking in the sun for a bit while my pasta cooks. Tessa has found herself a nice soft patch of dried leaves in which to sleep. We hiked about 6 miles, from Tray Mountain to where I am now: Addis Gap. Sadly I can go no further today. My damned right leg is still giving me trouble! Darn, darn darn!
I’m going to hike the remaining 6.4 miles to Hiawassi in the morning then decide whether I feel I can go any further. This is so frustrating! I want to hike but my right leg doesn’t want to let me!! I just need to be patient and really baby it for awhile, I guess. So, I’m going to enjoy a nice hot cup of Chai tea, some pasta, and then call it a night. Where’s a Tootsie Roll when you need it???
