26 Apr 2011 - Tues - Day 43: NERO day. Made it to Pearisburg, VA at mile 627.7 (8.7 miles). Picked up mail drop package. Stayed in hotel and ate at an all you can eat Chinese buffet. Really good food. Rain and windy.

27 Apr 2011 - Wed - Day 44: NERO day. Hiked to Rice Field Shelter at mile 634 (6.3 miles). Shelter is packed. 75 degrees and breezy.

28 Apr 2011 - Thurs - Day 45: Hiked to a campsite at the 655 mile mark (21 miles).

29 Apr 2011 - Fri - Day 46: Hiked to Niday Shelter at the 677 mile mark (22 miles).

30 Apr 2011 - Sat - Day 47: NERO day. Hiked to road crossing VA 620 to meet with my family (8.9 miles). They brought snacks as trail magic for the other hikers. This is the first time I have seen them since I started my hike almost 7 weeks ago. It was great to see them.

1 May 2011 - Sun - Day 48: NERO day. Family drove me to town to resupply and then drove me back to the trail. Hiked to Pickle Branch Shelter (1.2 miles). Rainy all day.
