My trail through the history of the AT was over before it ever begun as I came in contact with a virus before I even boarded the bus to Georgia. By the time I touched down in the Peach State I had taken ill and didn't even know it. Two weeks in Georgia trying to acclimate to the burning heat wave and combating this illness left me no choice but to return to familiar surroundings in hope I'd get well soon.
