Bramble Rambo 2004 March 10, 2004 October 15, 2004 I was a volunteer fire fighter and land scape bussiness owner. I had an Aunt who was dieing of cancer, and walked to raise funds for cancer on the Appalachian Trail. I finished in 2004 with Alabama, cook, and a few others. I started in 2005 and made it from GA to Damascus, VA. Headed to South Carolina, to florida, then to St. Louis, MO for the lewis and Clark Trail. Traveled to New Zealand to raise awareness there for three weeks. Went back East to relax, recover, then decided to Move to Califorina to pursue college to become a nurse for cancer kids one day. I went to school and worked in San Diego, CA. Went to Lima, Peru to bring toys for cancer kids. Returned to California to continue my prerequsits for LVN program, but after I applied, the program was cancelled. I found a private school, and started the Medical Assisting program to gain more medical knowledge. I graduate in December of 2011. I will begin the LVN course in 2012 at the same school, Concorde Career College in San Bernardino, CA. I begin volunteering at Loma Linda Children's Hospital as a Child Life volunteer with cancer kids. This is to get me more experiance with being a nurse for cancer kids. I am still working on a book that i have been writing, Called, "A Promis for Marie," and I hike and camp as much as I can, but have a lot of homework. I just did a presintation of my walk for cancer for extra credit in class on Friday 8-7-11. brought in all my Thru-hike gear. Hope to get in contact with Seiko, met him in 2004 on my thru-hike, hope he is still alive. Just wanted to thank him and everyone that prepared me for the hike, and along the way, all the trail angels as well. Carlos Menifee California Rambo
