This is a strip (looking north) of the AT -- guess where? -- in Pennsylvania, of course, between PA 33 (Wind Gap) and Wolf Rocks.
Having hiked the entire AT in PA, I must say its reputation for rockiness is well-deserved in the northeastern section of the state, where I took this photo.
Most other areas of the trail in the Keystone State, however, IMO, should not share the "Rocksylvania" moniker bestowed on this beautiful state because, quite simply, they are not as rocky as in the northern end of the AT in PA.
