my guess... Hiawassee Holiday Inn Express. Looks just like the room where I strung my gear up to dry out. :-)

It's actually the Best Western in Helen. I didn't go to Hiawassee. I came out at Unicoi, and Carol, the owner/manager of the BW offered me a free ride. I took her up on my offer, and I'm glad I did, otherwise my hike would have ended that day. I really needed to rest my knee and ice it down.

Oh, and dear god no that's not ALICE. The pack is a High Sierra Summit 45. Not too heavy, but being replaced soon.
