Residing in San Francisco he has hiked from Springer Mt. Met him on June 13, 2009 on the AT just before he reached Wildcat Rocks (1.5 mile north of NY 17A). Today he started out from NJ 94 near Vernon where he stayed at the church hostel.

also wanted to add that Crank can put down the ice cream. When he stopped at Bellvale Creamery at the AT crossing of NY 17A he had four humongous scoops of different flavors of their home-made ice cream. He said it was quite satisfying.
