Most likely a harmless garter snake, but I was NOT going to use it for a selfie! There's a rhyme used -- and misquoted! -- about how to tell a coral snake from a "safe" snake. I prefer to use the 100% correct rhyme: "If I'm a snake, leave me alone, Jake."
