dead moose in Mahoosuc Notch

This is the moose that fell in Mahoosuc Notch, broke a leg, and had to be shot. This moose was mentioned by Fiddlehead in one of the threads. The photo was taken in Sept, 1987. You can't really see it but there is a butt in the mouth making the moose look kind of like Joe Camel. There was no way to get the carcass out so nature had to take its course. You could tell the moose was there from a few hundred yards away!
