We were probably about 20 yards (zoomed in). Close enough! Look closely... her cub is right behind her. You can just see some black fur in the greenery. My son took the picture, and in his rush to get the lens cap off, heart pounding, he smudged the lens with his finger, which is why there's a blur in the center of the photo. -
