Re: The Infamous Grassy Ridge Split
Many of hikers, who look down too much, or when ever the Roan Balds are in poor visibility, they will hike up to the top of Grassy Ridge Bald.

Re: The Infamous Grassy Ridge Split
When my wife and I did a section hike there this Spring, we spoke with a hiker who had gone to the top of Grassy Ridge by mistake,... but was happy he did because of the views. We had been warned and did take the correct turn to stay on the AT.

Re: The Infamous Grassy Ridge Split
It's infamous to me too. There was a terrible bright sunlight as I approached this placeon on a beautiful late April morning and I didn't see the white blazes on the rocks and stayed in the same rut that I followed up the mountain. I don't think the post was even there. Anyway I ended up at the dead end on grassy Ridge.
