On my first outing up in this area I was moving slower than expected and didn't make it to the next shelter south of here so I just strung my hammock up and had a wonderful sunrise over the pond in the AM. It was much dryer then and was almost more of a swamp than a pond.

The ponds I passed on this trip were all pretty swampy around the edges...I posted at least one picture of those areas, too.
