I just hiked this a few weekends ago to finish up the only gap in my AT mileage between Catawba, VA and Glencliff, NH. I hammocked on the south side of NJ-94 (just before the meadows) and had a nice cool summer morning to climb up to Pinwheel Vista for a nice breakfast. This photo makes this climb seem much more ominous than it really is. The rockwork on the way up to the vista is some of the finest I have ever seen. Not that I have seen a whole lot, but in my 20% of trail completed this is good stuff for a steep climb. Does anyone how long the stairs have been in place?
