Walked a long way to that shelter in 2010 - - all the way from Stratton Pond - I think that is about 21 miles - - over Bromley, etc. - - good hump to a nice place - - took a little splash in the creek, had a little campfire, shared some thoughts on trail safety, listened to my i-pod and slept well.
