Ahh an SLR, and a good one too. I just bought a Canon 3S IS. I don't think I cacnget a moon shot like this, but I'll give it a try. Any pointers?
What ISO did you use to take the photo? -

Pointers for moon ? Super telephoto or telephoto, tripod, cable release and fast shutter speed of 1/1000 or faster. Just cause it's nighttime doesn't mean that a full moon doesn't kick off some light...fast shutter cause the earth is moving and so is the moon. Too slow a shutter will produce a blur. -
