Been out of country for a while and need some info on conditions.
I assume water is no problem but please correct me if wrong. We will be getting started in afternoon so is there any camping spots a couple miles in as I dont think we can reach Greasy Creek gap before sun sets. Have parked at Iron Mountain Gap before with no problem....any change I need to know about? Any other info on conditions greatly appreciated. Dean |

The first good camping spot north of Iron Mtn Gap is the apple orchard. right before Weedy Gap. Just over a mile in. There is a spring on a small blue blaze through the orchard.
Then there are some wide spots along the trail but nothing like an official camp spot until Greasy Creek Gap & Clyde Smith after that.
