Haven't decided on the approach trail yet either.
Will be shuttled by Hikers Hostel from ATL and staying the night there, then shuttled to the trail the following morning. If we get a group together we can get a discount for staying at the hostel, really cheap $$$.

    Yes to the approach trail.
I'm starting late in the season because graduation is late April. I'm going home for a few days before to catch up with my family, then hitch-hiking down to Springer. If anyone else is planning on starting around that time let me know.

Just retired from teaching and coaching for 33 years, last of my four kids heading out to college in three days. I have been dreaming about this hike since I was 20. Going to End to End Long Trail starting Sept. 15 as a shake down hike. See you on the trail.

    Approach Trail - probably
I am still on the fence about doing the hike this year, it will require taking a semester off of school in spring and push me to finish by mid-August but I am leaning towards doing it because it is calling and my spirit is craving it! If anyone wants to talk about planning, shoot me a message!

I'll am not longer looking at doing a thru-hike so I can be taken off the list. It's bittersweet but with a wedding to go to smack dab in the middle it would just be too tough on the pocket book. Planning on hitting the trail in early June to hit the harder part of the trail from Harpers Ferry to Maine. Looks like I'll be a section hiker next year.

We'll have to chat over the net. I'm leaving late March. Not a speed freak but won't be going too slow.
Won't say much about rugby until the Western Force learn to win...
