    Default Hotel stay Springer Mountain

Driving down to start at Springer, looking for a nice and close hotel/lodge to stay at for one last night of comfort before starting the next morning bright and early on the trail; any suggestions. Prefer something close for logistics, will have a car and something comfortable as we have friends driving us down who are not hiking.

    Thanks,

Hard to beat the lodge at the park, it's just 200 feet from the approach trail.

So did I, which is why I stayed at the Lodge the couple of times I got a ride there with friends or family. The Lodge has a great view, rooms just like any other motel and a decent restaurant and reasonably priced. What more do you want?

Must not have looked very hard.

There's only one park, and only one lodge in it.

No need to be a doosh. We have enough negative in this world, we don't need more. I encourage you to be positive to people in this forum. Some people here just want to connect with real people and many of us here are happy to provide guidance. Maybe this person already read the home page, right?

    Cheers

I stayed at the Days Inn in Dahlonega, GA. Then my dad dropped me off at the trail. Not super nice but decent and affordable and only an hour away from the trail. Best of luck on your hike!
