Default Where To Get Webbing & Buckles

I am looking to find out if you guys know the specifications on the webbing and buckles used on an Osprey Exos backpack? I want to use something of this size on a small project I am working on. Also, where can I buy this?

I don't have an Osprey so I can't speak specifically to that, but I've had good luck finding webbing and buckles at Joann's that is the same size as the ones on my Gregory. Different colors, but otherwise virtually identical.

Those look to be much larger than what is used on the Exos although it is really hard to tell. The small webbing down the side used for compression is what I am interested in although that is used in may other places on the pack.

zpacks sells the hardware they use.
There is hardware, and then there is hardware.

Cheap chinese buckles can break much easier than quality ones vendors use. Just because it looks the same, doesnt mean it works the same. I wouldnt purchase any item like that except from a reputable vendor.

Ok, who makes the stuff for Osprey. They are not cheaply made.

I recall someone looking for one a few years ago on BPL, and Osprey would not sell them one, or tell them where to get it.

I am talking about the small laced webbing that goes up the side. You can see the small plastic white "tensioner" at the bottom of this picture with the black webbing going through it. These are really small. Probably 1/4" o so.

Get a ruler. Measure the nylon webbing carefully. What type of tensioner is it? A ladder lock type or a spring loaded type like you see on garments? There are backpacking DIY vendors online.

I disagree. But I am a belt and suspenders type of person.
I own an Osprey pack built in Colorado. The current production doesn't measure up to their made in the USA gear.

I can't see the smaller buckle well enough to be sure who made it, but the larger buckles are made by Duroflex. It's reasonable to assume the small ones are as well. Duroflex makes nice hardware, but personally, I prefer ITW Nexus. You can't go wrong with either..... Unless you try mixing parts from both manufacturers. They're not interchangeable, so if you're trying to replace a broken female Duroflex buckle, and still use the original male part, you need to find another Duroflex buckle, or just replace both parts of the buckle.
